Commemorates Remembrance Day
Today Nick Winder, Scott Campbell and Jimmy Bunting laid poppy wreaths in Andover cemetery
to commemorate the fallen.
The first wreath was laid at the war memorial in the garden of remembrance.
The second wreath was laid at the grave of Staff Sergeant Wilson who was killed in a flying accident in 1912.
S/Sgt Wilson was an observer in the Royal Engineers Air battalion stationed at Larkhill, he was killed when his aircraft piloted by Captain Lorraine also of the Royal Engineers crashed a mile from Stonehenge.
This was the first fatal flying accident on Salisbury Plain and a stone cross was erected in their honour. This cross can be seen at the Stonehenge visitor centre.
